KOKRAJHAR: A significant milestone in strengthening the educational infrastructure of Chirang district was marked on Tuesday, as MP (Lok Sabha) Joyanta Basumatary laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 50-bed girls’ and boys’ hostel, along with a boundary wall, at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Chirang.
The ceremony was attended by Sidli MLA Nirmal Kumar Brahma and Chirang District Commissioner Jatin Bora, who accompanied the MP during the event. The project aims to provide safe, inclusive, and high-quality residential accommodation for both female and male trainees at DIET Chirang. Additionally, the construction of the boundary wall is expected to significantly enhance campus security and foster a more conducive learning environment.
