Foundation stone of 37 projects laid in Chaygaon

Boko: Rekibuddin Ahmed, MLA of Chaygaon constituency, offered Bhoomi puja recently for construction of guest house and development of the historic Chandika Devalaya and Merghar at Chaygaon. Rs 10 crore has been is allotted for beautification, construction of the guest house and repairing the merghar and devalaya in the budget of 2018-19 financial year. Ahmed said, “This was a long-pending demand of the people of Chaygaon and South Kamrup.”

The MLA also laid 37 foundation stones in the presence of Hiten Kalita, SDO of PWD, for road construction and repair, amounting to Rs 20 crore, before the panchayat election date declaration. He also inaugurated solar lighting system from NH-37 to Chandika Devalaya.
