Four candidates in Kajalgaon, 7 in Bijni subdivision file nomination papers for BTC Polls

KOKRAJHAR: Under the Returning Officer, Chirang and Kajalgaon Sadar subdivision on Tuesday, Saikhong Basumatary from BPF and Maoti Brahma Hazoary from UPPL filed their nomination papers for 13-Chirang (ST) BTCC.

For 14-Chirang Duars (ST) BTCC and 15-Kajalgaon (ST) BTCC, Ranjit Basumatary alias BR Ferenga, former general secretary of the NDFB (S), and Rwngwra Narzary of UPPL submitted their nomination forms before their respective Assistant Returning Officers.

On the other hand, for the first time during the process of submission of nomination forms on Tuesday, total seven candidates filed their nomination papers in the office of the Bijni Civil subdivision and Returning Officer, Bijni. They were Guneswar Basumatary of UPPL and Arun Narzary of Cong (I) for Subhaijhar BTCC, James Basumatary of BPF and Nirmal Narzary of UPPL for Nisima BTCC, Suresh Daimary of UPPL for Manas Serfang BTCC and Moniwin Muchahary (Ind) and Lankeswar Dev Ray from CPI(M).
