Four Hardcore NDFB Cadres held at Goreswar in Baksa District

GORESWAR: In a joint operation of Goreswar Police, CRPF and Army, four hardcore NDFB cadres were held at Goreswar in Baksa district on Thursday. Police sources said that the NDFB cadres demanded Rs 5 lakh from a young businessman, Bilifang Narzary of Suagpur. The cadres directed the businessman to pay the amount at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district on Thursday. Accordingly, the businessman arrived at Baihata Chariali to pay the money to the cadres as directed by them.

In a joint operation of Goreswar Police, CRPF and Army, two NDFB cadres, namely Dhaneswar Boro of Tamulpur and Raju Swargiary of Dhekiajuli, were held on the spot when they came there to take the money from the young businessman.

On the basis of confession of both arrested NDFB cadres from Baihata Chariali, the operation team apprehended Bijoy Boro alias Hero and Soneswar Boro of Oubari village under Suagpur Police outpost from Suagpur in Baksa district on Thursday. Police recovered five mobile handsets from the four NDFB cadres and police continue to interrogate them for further information at Goreswar police station in Baksa district.
