Four model schools inaugurated in tea garden belt of Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: Sanjoy Kishan, Minister of Labour & Tea Tribe Welfare Department, inaugurated the newly-constructed four model schools in the tea garden belt of Tinsukia district on Wednesday.

The four-day long inauguration of 96 model schools in 17 tea growing districts in Assam began from Wednesday. The construction of these schools was formally launched in November 2020, under SOPD fund (2020-2021) of PWD.

Minister Kishan inaugurated Bazaloni TE Model High School, Dirial Model High School, Deohall TE Model High School and Keyhung Model High School. Academic session of these schools has already begun with students drawn from nearby feeder schools. In respect of teachers' appointment, the Inspector of Schools Tinsukia Bitupan Hazarika informed that excess regular teachers from provincialized schools have been appointed on an ad-hoc basis. Each school has enrolment of nearly 200 students.
