LAKHIMPUR: Four more returnees tested positive for COVID-19 in Lakhimpur district on Monday.

They have been identified as Bakul Borah (38) of No. 2 Phutabhog under Dhalpur area, Bubul Borah of Kathalguri Majuli Gaon under Dhakuakhana subdivision, Diajuddin Ahmed (22) of Pandhowa under Naoboicha circle and Madhab Dutta (35) of Jarabari, Narayanpur.

Bakul Borah is a returnee from Bengaluru while Bubul Borah came back home from his workplace in Pune. They arrived in Lakhimpur on July 29 by flight via Guwahati.

Similarly, Diajuddin Ahmed arrived in Lakhimpur from his workplace in Hyderabad on July 3 by flight. On the other hand, Madhab Dutta is a defence personnel of 5 Assam Regiment. He was posted at Katihar in Bihar. He reached Lakhimpur in a hired vehicle along with two persons of Dhemaji district on July 3. According to the District Health Department, all of the four newly detected patients are asymptomatic and they have been already shifted to Dedicated COVID Health Centre set up at Narayanpur Model Hospital.
