Free eye check-up programme organized in Nalbari

NALBARI: A free and comprehensive eye care programme was organized by The Sutradhar, a socio- economic organization of the entire west Nalbari on Sunday at Sutradhar Buniyad Vidyapith campus at Chamata. The project was funded by Don Bosco Mission, Bonn, Germany in collaboration with Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, GMCH. The Sutradhar president Nabaratna Patowari, Secretary Dr Rajesh Kakati, Executive Secretary Kandarpa Barman, Principal attended the programme. More than 250 people of the entire west Nalbari area including Kaithalkuchi, Nalisa, Bihampur, Chamata and many nearby villages gathered for the free eye check-up. The GMCH Ophthalmologists rendered their service for the needy people and highly praised the initiative of The Sutradhar. They stressed on regular check-ups of every individual.
