Frequent load shedding makes life miserable in Merapani

MERAPANI: Frequent load shedding has caused discontentment among people in remote areas of Merapani like Ghiladhary, Furkating, Kachamari, and Mokrong. Load shedding, especially during the evening hours, has made life miserable for the people. Students are the most affected. Conscious people have pointed out that illegal electric connections have affected regular power supply in the area.

Also, in most places, there are no proper electric posts. The electric wires can be found hanging from bamboo or wooden posts. This obviously poses a threat to the lives of people and animals. The conscious section of society has, therefore, urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
