DEMOW: A chaotic situation took place in Mohmora Tea Estate near Demow when a three-month-baby died on Thursday. The deceased child was of Aarti Praja, wife of Arjun Praja. Aarti Praja works as a labourer in the Mohmora Tea Estate. According to sources, the bonus in the Mohmora Tea Estate was given to labourers on Wednesday but Aarti Praja could not come as her three-month old son was ill. She sent her husband Arjun Praja to take the bonus but the authority of the Tea Estate did not give the bonus to her husband.
Aarti Praja then took her ill child along with her to the office of the tea estate on Thursday morning. When she reached the office, the office had not opened till then. Her child's health condition worsened. Due to lack of proper facilities in the tea estate hospital, the baby was admitted to Demow Model Hospital but the doctor declared the baby as dead.
