G-20, Y-20 Summit pre-events held in Madhabdev University
As part of the G-20 and Y-20 Summit pre-event, a marathon was organized in Madhabdev University on Wednesday.
LAKHIMPUR: As part of the G-20 and Y-20 Summit pre-event, a marathon was organized in Madhabdev University on Wednesday.
A total of 212 students from Madhabdev University, Laluk College, Sankardeva Mahavidyalaya, Bihpuria College, Pub-Dikrong College, Lakhimpur Girls' College, Madhabdev Collegiate HS School, Lohit Dikrong HS School took part in the event, which was flagged off by Dr Khirapada Dutta, Academic Registrar of Madhabdev University. Janison Dawlagajau of Bihpuria College, Dr. Khirod Kumar Phukan, Finance Officer, Madhabdev University attended the event.
It was followed by a seminar on 'Role of Games and Sports, Yoga, NCC and NSS in Overall Development of Youth'. The seminar with the address by the resource person Dr Devid Kardong, NSS Programme Coordinator of Dibrugarh University. Dr. Kardong presented his paper on 'Role of NSS in Mobilizing and Development of Leadership Quality among the Youth with Special reference to Dibrugarh University NSS cell' while 15 students Madhavdev University, Sankardev Mahavidyalaya Laluk College presented their papers on different sub-themes of the seminar.
Dr. Khirapada Dutta, Academic Register of Madhavdev University, Dr. Khirod Phokan, Finance Register of Madhavdev University, Latika Hazarika, Associate Professor of Madhavdev University, and Jyoti Prashad Gogoi, subject teacher of Madhavdev Collegiate Higher Secondary School attended the event as guests of honour.
Seswashree Gogoi, a student of Madhavdev University, presented her paper on 'Importance of well-being of youth in the process of nation building' while Lizamoni Neog, Karobi Boruah, presented their papers on 'Role of Games and Sports, Yoga, NSS and NCC in overall Development of Youth', Najmul Islam of Laluk College presented his report on 'Role of Games and Sports, Yoga NCC and NSS in overall Development of Youth'. In addition to them, several students presented papers on various sub-themes of the seminar.
