Gambling Racket Busted by Biswanath Police

Biswanath Chariali: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Biswanath Police led by Muzzafar Hussain, DSP (HQ), Biswanath and assisted by TSI, Biswanath, SI (P) Kamal Baro and team, raided the bottling factory of one Ratul Bora located at Borkora, near Jopoubari under Biswanath Chariali PS and managed to arrest Ratul Bora along with nine other persons allegedly involved in a gambling racket on Wednesday night. From the gambling racket, cash amounting to Rs 1.53 lakh, 144 gambling tokens, 104 playing cards, three vehicles, and three motorbikes and one silver coin of 10 grams were seized. The accused persons were identified as Ratul Bora (52), Ajodhya Gupta (48), Salam Ali (45), Bhagabanta Bodo (49), Dipen Bora (53), Manoj Sah (41), Abdul Halim (35), Halim Uddin (35), Kudrat Ali (29), and Rashid Khan (41). Further inquiry is going on.
