Gas pipeline scheme inaugurated in Dhansiri subdivision under Golaghat district

SARUPATHAR: As part of the government's scheme to connect all north-eastern States with gas pipeline, a project was launched at Sarupathar and Barpathar in Dhansiri subdivision under Golaghat district to provide LPG house-to-house.

Biswajit Phukan, chairman of the Assam Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd and vice-president of BJP Golaghat district committee, inaugurated the scheme in Dhansiri subdivision in presence of ONGC officials. Phukan further elaborated that there was a plan to connect Dhansiri subdivision with gas pipeline and this project would be executed by a consortium of Indian Oil Corporation, Oil India Limited, Numaligarh Refinery Limited, and others.
