It needs mention here that last year, around 20,000 candidates had appeared for the CET.

The University, in its notification, proclaimed that 80% of the post-graduate seats will be reserved for GU students, while the rest will be available to those from other universities. At the same time, the University has given a tentative date of July 15 for the opening of the online admission portal.

This time, 10% of the unreserved sears will be allotted to students from the economically backward classes. Meanwhile, the Assam Government has waived off fees for the upcoming academic session (2020-2021).

It has also been reported that various colleges under the University have not been able to conduct their exams due to the ongoing crisis situation in the state.
