General meeting organized to form AJYCP Demow Regional Committee

DEMOW: A general meeting was organized in Demow Press Club recently to form the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) Demow Regional Committee. Krishna Hazarika presided over the meeting and LatuBhattacharjee elaborated the aims of the meeting. UtpalDowerah, BiswajitShyam and DeepjyotiHazarika were selected as advisors, Krishna Hazarika was selected as president, LatuBhattacharjee was selected as general secretary while JadumoniHazarika and RamisulHaque were selected as joint secretaries of the 31-member AJYCP Demow Regional Committee.

Meanwhile, AJYCP Demow Regional Committee activists have shown serious concern over garbage thrown on the backside of Demow Central Market. The activists of AJYCP Demow Regional Committee protested with placards in their hands in the backside of Demow Central near the garbage dump on Thursday. They shouted slogans against Demow Municipal Board and demanded that the authority concerned should clean the area.
