General Observer Ramakrishna Sahu arrives in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Ramakrishna Sahu has taken charge as General Observer in 95-Golaghat and 96-Khumtai Assembly Constituencies under Golaghat Election District.

The General Observer met the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, who is also the District Election Officer, Bibhash Chandra Modi on Wednesday to understand the present scenario and to get an overview of the preparations for the upcoming election. Sahu called upon the voters to vote without any temptation in the upcoming assembly election. He said that there was great enthusiasm among the people for the election and he expected that this time the voting in both the constituencies would be 100 per cent.

TINSUKIA: Sailaza Sharma, who was appointed by the Election Commission of India as General Observer for126 Sadiya LAC in Tinsukia district, arrived at Sadiya on Tuesday and was greeted with phulam gamosa by Shymal Kshetra Gogoi, SDO (Civil)-cum- Returning Officer Sadiya, along with other magistrates. Meanwhile, 34 women presiding officers and 34 women polling officials were imparted EVM training at SDO's office on Wednesday.
