General Observer under Sivasagar Election District urges citizens to be vigilant

DEMOW/ GAURISAGAR: The General Observer to the three Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) under Sivasagar Election District, namely, 103 Amguri LAC, 107 Thowra and 108 Sibsagar LAC, Abhimanyu Kumar on Friday called upon the citizens of the Election District to remain vigilant against any case of Model Code of Conduct violation.

In his message, the General Observer stated that as the names of contesting candidates were finalized and the MCC was in force, the general public needed to be extra alert so that no violation of MCC occurred in any of the three LACs of the Election District. He further informed that if any such violation was witnessed, the citizen could bring the same to the General Observer's notice by contacting him in his mobile number- 6001177086.

General Observer Abhimanyu Kumar urged the citizens to be vigilant against MCC violations like transportation, storage and distribution of illicit liquor, carrying of IMFL beyond permissible limit, carrying of cash beyond permissible limit, putting up of posters, banners, hoardings at public places and at private places illegally, luring of voters by candidates and distribution of cash amongst voters.
