Global Women Entrepreneurship Day celebrated at Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Women in Business, Dibrugarh Chapter (WIBDC), in association with Centre for Women Studies, Dibrugarh University (CWS-DU), celebrated 'Global Women Entrepreneurship Day' on Thursday.

The event was led by the founding member of WIBDC, MonaliHazarika and the Head of the Department of CWS-DU, NasmeemFarhinAkhtar. The whole event was planned and executed by the members of WIBDC with support received from members of the CWS-DU team.

The tea table book titled The Untold Stories of Strength and Inspiration, which had seven entrepreneurial stories, was released by the Dean, School of Social Science, DU, ProfBiswajitBaruah, along with Head of the Department, CWS-DU and Department of English, DU, NasmeemFarhinAkhtar.

Eight self-employed girls were given cash incentives. This was for the first time that Global Women Entrepreneurship Day was celebrated by the Dibrugarh team of WIBDC.
