Goalpara DC Varnali Deka launches special initiative 'Mission Samarth'

GOALPARA: To improve learning outcome in Mathematics, the Goalpara Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varnali Deka launched on Wednesday a special initiative titled 'Mission Samarth' under 'Goalpara Cares'. Under this mission, schools in Goalpara municipal area will be taken on priority basis and Mathematics will be taught to students upto Class XIII through the network of Poshan Clubs and CRCCs. The significance of this special initiative is that the DC and senior officers will also impart lessons. The district administration is all set to use the technical expertise from UNICEF, Piramal Foundation and Pratham to make Math concepts clear right from beginning. The scheduled mission will come to an end with a 'Mathematics Mela' wherein all beneficiary schools will participate.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka, accompanied by Pranjal Choudhury, ADC, with a team of circle officers and educational officers on Tuesday carried out a marathon inspection of the schools under different circles and took stock of COVID protocol, education and quality of mid-day meal being maintained by the schools.
