Goalpara District Journalists’ Association to Observe ‘Kitapor Din’

GOALPARA: The Goalpara district Journalists’ Association has decided to observe the coming birthday of former Axom Xahitya Xabha president and litterateur Lakhyadhar Choudhury on December 27 as ‘Kitapor Din’ at the Phani Sarma Bhawan of Goalpara town. In view of this, a book release programme by author and journalist Dilip Kumar Sarma, for his latest book Sundoror Podatik has been kept on the card. Sarma is also the president of the Goalpara district journalists’ association. Renowned academician of the State and former Vice-Chancellor of the Gauhati University, Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury and DC Varnali Deka will grace the occasion. Dr. Poritish Chakraborty, another researcher, and academician has been invited as the distinguished lecturer in the programme.
