Golaghat All Assam Students' Union (AASU) protest against CAA

GOLAGHAT: The members of Golaghat All Assam Students' Union (AASU) staged protest at Bata point of Golaghat town on Thursday and formed human chain against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). The protesters raised various slogans against the BJP government as well as the Sarbananda Sonowal-led State Government. The chief organizing secretary of AASU central committee, Raju Phukan said that the AASU would never accept the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Any step taken by the BJP government against the people of Assam would never be accepted, he added. He warned the government that they would continue the protest against CAA until it was scrapped.
