Golaghat District Congress Committee extended a helping hand to families affected by fire

GOLAGHAT: The members of Golaghat District Congress Committee, under the supervision of former PWD minister Ajanta Neog, on Thursday met the families that had been adversely affected by the devastating fire that broke out at ward No. 5 in Srimanta Nagar of Golaghat town on Tuesday afternoon where altogether 10 residential houses were completely gutted into ashes.

Golaghat district Congress Committee distributed LPG cylinder along with stove, clothes and rice packages among the families. Altogether 35 members of 10 families have been taking shelter at Bibhah Bhavan after losing everything in the fire. Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sangathan also extended a helping hand by providing rice, flour, biscuits, dal and salt among the families.
