Golaghat Xahitya Utsav and Book Fair underway at Samannay Khsetra

GOLAGHAT: The Golaghat Xahitya Utsav and Book Fair started on Saturday at Samannay Khsetra in Golaghat.

The book fair was inaugurated by renowned writer and novelist, Arupa Patangia Kalita. In the inaugural ceremony, State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and senior journalist Nitumoni Saikia took part as special guests of the programme. Several publishing companies from different parts of the State have set up stalls in the book fair.

The Golaghat Sahitya Utsav Aru Grantha Mela has been organized under the aegis of Vox Populi, in association with All Assam Book Publishers and Sellers Association, along with various organizations. It will conclude on February 14.

The reception committee comprising president Atul Bora, working president Purna Rajkhowa, secretary Debojit Phukan and joint secretaries Kaustav Moni Hazarika and Parth Jyoti Bora have been working hard to make the book fair a success. As part of the book fair, various competition like quiz and art competition amongst the students, and interaction programme will also be held.
