Golden Jubilee Celebration of Jagiroad Sakha Xahitya Xabha

JAGIROAD: The results of the essay competition held as part of the golden jubilee celebration of Jagiroad Sakha Xahitya Xabha were declared. The Bimlesh Kumar Jain Memorial Essay competition was held in two groups - Group A from Class IX to Class XII and Group B for the degree to masters’ degree-level students. The first prize for Group A was bagged by Barash Das of Guwahati Commerce College while the second prize went to Mrinali Nath of Karanga HS School of Jorhat.

On the other hand, the first prize for Group B was bagged by Saswati Kashyap of Sonapur College while the second and the third prize were bagged by Udipta Bora of BioMedical Engineering College under NEHU Shillong and Plabita Bora of Bahona Hindi College of Jorhat. Dr.Dipak Jyoti Borua, secretary of the reception committee, said that the prizes would be given away during the open session of the closing ceremony of the function on January 21.
