Goreswar Municipal Board to provide houses under PMAY to 741 beneficiaries

GORESWAR: Goreswar Municipal Board (GMB) in Baksa district has taken up various welfare schemes for people. One of them is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Altogether 741 beneficiaries will get new houses in Goreswar town area under PMAY. Already 604 beneficiaries have received the first installment of their amount to build their houses. Each family will get Rs 2 lakh under PMAY to build their house, said Maheswar Basumatary, EM of BTC, while inaugurating three newly-built PMAY houses in Goreswar town recently. He also discussed other issues like streetlights in Goreswar town, blacktopping of by-lanes of the town, gardens for entertainment and the responsibility of citizens to pay taxes.
