Guwahati:

Guidelines to be Followed during a Mall Visit:

Visitors have been urged to ensure physical distancing of at least 6 feet as far as feasible. Additionally, to stop the transmission of the Covid-19, they have been asked to face covers or masks as a protective measure.

Moreover, the mall visitors have been asked to wash their hands with soap frequently (for at least 40-60 seconds), even when their hands are not visibly dirty. To ensure further hygiene, mall visitors have been asked to use alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) wherever feasible.

They have also been urged to follow respiratory etiquettes and practice covering of mouth and nose while coughing or sneeze with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow. The mall visitors have also been cautioned to dispose of used tissues properly. At the same time, they have also been discouraged from spitting, which can easily transmit the virus.

Visitors have also been urged to self-monitor health by reporting any illness at the earliest to state and district on the given helpline numbers. They have also been asked to install and use the Aarogya Setu App. At the same time, senior citizens, pregnant women, and those with underlying medical conditions have been advised to refrain from visiting malls.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Government has decided to ease restrictions on certain activities in areas not within the containment zones from June 8 onwards. Religious places and other places of worship will be opened to the public; hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality services shall also be re-opened in this phase. Shopping malls can also be reopened as part of the Government's Unlock 1.0 initiative after the extended period of curbs to contain the Covid-19 spread.
