Griho Probesh Samorah held in Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI: Griho Probesh Samaroh 2021 was held in some wards under Hailakandi municipal areas here on Saturday.

Under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Urban) 2017-18, three dwelling units, two under Ward No.6 and one under Ward No.5 of Hailakandi Municipal Board were handed over to the beneficiaries Prodip Kumar Das, Lakshmi Paul and Gitish Chandra Das by MLA Anwar Hussain Laskar, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Executive Officer, Hailakandi Municipal Board, Deepmala Goala and SDO (Sadar)-cum-Project Director, PMAY(U), Prodip Daimary, stated a press release.

City Project Manager, PMAY(U) Abhijit Debnath disclosed that several dwelling units were under various stages of development in different wards of Hailakandi Municipal Board and griha probesh would be held in a phased manner. Debnath further revealed that 261 houses had been already constructed since the inception of PMAY (U) in 2017. The project aims at converting kutcha or semi pucca houses into pucca houses in urban areas.

Total Rs.2,00,000 lakh is allotted with release of money in three installments of Rs.80,000, Rs.90,000 and Rs.30,000.
