Grocery shop sealed in Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Deputy Commissioner and chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Biswanath directed the Biswanath Chariali Municipality Board to seal a grocery shop named M/S Devi Store, Biswanath Chariali on Thursday in the presence of Biswajit Saikia, SDO (Sadar), Biswanath-cum-Executive Officer, BCMB and also to suspend the shop owner's trade license with immediate effect exercising the powers conferred upon him U/S 30 of Disaster Management Act, 2005.

The order came based on the reports submitted by Bhaben Kumar, Sub Inspector, Food and Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, Biswanath which showed that the person violated the order issued vide no. BDM(DDMA), 05/2020/P/58, Dated 12/07/2021 keeping the grocery shop open during the curfew hours.
