Groom greets guests with saplings in Barpeta

PATHSALA: A nature-loving youth greeted guests with a sapling on his wedding day instead of accepting gifts from the invited guests. Ratul Das, District Elementary Education Officer, Barpeta at Sarupeta, surprised guests with this laudable step. Ananda Khataniar, brand ambassador of the forest and environment department. Government of Assam, was present and helped the groom in the distribution of saplings in paper bags. The guests congratulated the groom and accepted the saplings. The groom appealed to the guests to plant the saplings and take care of them.
