Guardian Secretary B Kalyan Chakravarthy takes stock of flood situation in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: B Kalyan Chakravarthy, Principal Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam, who is also the Guardian Secretary of Lakhimpur, visited the district on Saturday. During his visit, B Kalyan Chakravarthy inspected the flood-affected Gelahati area under Naoboicha Revenue Circle to take stock of the situation. There he interacted with the flood victims to know whether they had received adequate amount of flood relief.

In the evening, B Kalyan Chakravarthy held a flood situation review meeting in the conference hall of the Circuit House with the District Officers of various government departments. In the meeting, the Principal Secretary instructed the District Officers to help the flood victims by adopting every possible measure. Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, ADC Manorama Morang, ADC-cum-SDO (Civil) of Dhakuakhana Arindam Baruah, Circle Officers of the Revenue Circles of the district, officers of the District Disaster Management Authority were also present in the review meeting.
