Guwahati: DTO To Conduct Special Enforcement Drive Against Vehicles With Pending Taxes

Guwahati: The District Transport Office (DTO), Kamrup Metro is all set to carry out a special enforcement drive in Guwahati against both private and passenger vehicles that failed paying taxes.

Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, on Thursday, Kamrup Metro District Administration, said,'' District Transport Office, Kamrup Metro will carry out a special enforcement drive from 1st of December against private and passenger vehicles that failed to pay pending taxes within deadline.''

Reportedly, the DTO has urged passenger and private vehicles owners to clear the pending dues before the deadline.

In July this year, DTO, in a notification, had asked all owners of public and private vehicles to clear their outstanding taxes immediately at the DTO office, if they have failed to clear the same till date.

The notice further stated that one could also make their payment online also (www.parivahan.govt.in –vahan/sarathi related services).

Failing to clear outstanding on time will draw penal action against the owners, the notification read.
