Guwahati: In connection to the Paltan Bazar murder case, the city police on Monday nabbed the wife of Narayan Chakrabarty who was found dead at a quarter of the railway colony.

Reportedly, after arresting the wife named Mousumi Chakrabarty, the Police have also summoned the elder daughter of the Narayan Chakrabarty.

During the interrogation, the daughter revealed that her deceased father used to torture her and her mother both physically and mentally.

However, the police also suspecting involvement of more people other than the prime suspect Mousumi.

Latasil Police had detained four persons in connection with the alleged murder at around midnight on Thursday.

The police had also detained two persons on the day of the murder. Initial reports indicate that injury marks have been found on the deceased's head.

Narayan Chakraborty hailed from Cooch Behar in West Bengal and he came to Guwahati four years back. He stayed with his wife in the quarter where the body was discovered.

The quarter has been allocated to a Railway's employee who is currently out of the station.
