Guwahati: Saiyam Mazumdar, Amongst Honorees for Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024

GUWAHATI: On January 22, 2024, in a special ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan, Chief Minister Draupadi Murmu will confer the prestigious Prime Minister’s National Children’s Awards on 19 exceptional children of the country. Among the honorees is 16-year-old prodigy Saiyam Majumdar from Guwahati.

Saiyam Mazumdar has earned his place in this distinguished list through his remarkable contributions as a professional snake rescuer and dedicated wildlife expert His interests extend beyond reptile rescue, and he also shows an admirable interest in rescuing dogs. Saiyam’s commitment to the environment sets her apart, and made her an inspiration to her peers.

The awards comprise categories that recognize exceptional achievements in the fields of arts and culture, courage, innovation, science and technology, social service and sport. Among the 19 recipients, Saiyam represents the social enterprise category, a testament to his commitment to the welfare of wildlife and pets

After the award ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to interact with the recipients of Prime Minister's National Children's Award on February 23, 2024. The interaction gives young achievers a unique opportunity to share their experience and insights with nation the leader.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani; Munjpara and Mahendra Bhai will interact with the boys and heartily congratulate them on their outstanding work in their fields.
