The state's cricket fans will now watch the World Cup match from the
stadium's stands as the women’s cricket world cup 2025 schedule has been revealed by the ICC. The World Cup is scheduled to begin on September 30.
Fans have been looking forward to the International Cricket Council's (ICC)
announcement of the World Cup schedule.
As per the tournament's official schedule, Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium has been granted the privilege of hosting four league games. Barsapara has also been given the opportunity to host the tournament's
first semifinal. However, the match location can shift to Sri Lanka if Pakistan qualifies for
this first semi-final.
On September 30, the Women's World Cup will get underway. This World Cup will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India.
World Cup matches will also take place at Holkar Stadium in Indore,
ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vishakhapatnam and R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo in addition to Chinnaswamy stadium. The forthcoming World Cup will include competitors from South Africa,
New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, England, and India.
On October 7, the opening game will be played in Guwahati. Bangladesh will play England in this match. At 3 PM, this match will begin. After this, on October 11, England and Sri Lanka will play their second
match, which will also begin at 3 PM. However, on October 23, supporters will get to see an Indian team game.
In this encounter, the Indian squad will take on New Zealand. Like a number of other matches, this one will begin at 3 PM. On October 26, which is the final day of the league stage, England and New Zealand will play their fourth encounter. At eleven a.m., this match will begin. In this manner, Guwahati will host four World Cup matches for cricket fans in the state.
On October 29 and October 30, respectively, the competition's first and second semifinals is scheduled to take place. The semifinals will be reached by the top four teams from the round-robin phase. The first-place squad will face the fourth-place team, while the second-place team will face the third-place club. However, the final is scheduled for November 2.
