KOKRAJHAR: Bodoland People's Front (BPF) president Hagrama Mohilary on Friday asked the Assam State BJP to make its stand clear on alliance with BPF as the relation between the two parties seems to have turned soar after the BJP started attacking the Mohilary-led BTC and his party. The BJP and BPF have been in alliance since 2016.

Talking to media persons in Kokrajhar on Friday, BPF president and former BTC chief Mohilary said that the BJP was in the mood of abandoning the BPF but they had not clarified their stand. He said the BJP should clarify whether it wanted to quit the BPF or continue the alliance.

Mohilary said that there had been a 'secret understanding' between the BJP and the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) which was no longer a secret. He said the UPPL and BJP were trying to capture 16 seats but it was a distant dream. He said the BJP had no base in BTC and UPPL also had experience of repeated failure in BTC.

The BPF president said the BPF would emerge victorious in the ensuing BTC election. He also claimed that the BPF would win 25-30 seats and form the BTC government for the fourth consecutive term.
