Hailakandi registers nine fresh COVID cases, total tally 3,418

HAILAKANDI: Hailakandi reported nine fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 3,418.

Of the nine active cases detected on Saturday, seven have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test. So far 1,418 have been found positive under RT-PCR and 2,000 under RAT. Results of 549 samples are being awaited from Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The district has altogether 35 active COVID-19 cases while 3,360 patients have recuperated from the affliction. Eight patients are presently undergoing treatment at SK Roy Civil Hospital, one at Silchar Medical College and Hospital and 26 kept under home isolation.

Altogether 1,73,350 samples for COVID-19 have been tested so far, including 768 samples taken in the last 24 hours.

The district has accounted for nine COVID deaths.

Meanwhile, 1,032 received the first dose of COVID vaccine while 200 the second and final shot on Saturday.
