Sivsagar: After the detection of COVID-19 virus in Sivsagar district, another school was closed down and the ongoing half-yearly exams were cancelled.

Amid the ongoing exam, at least 15 students of Barpatradal High School in Sivsagar tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, including the headmaster and his wife.

Apart from them, a teacher of the same school was tested positive for the virus. Since, they all they were tested positive, the Health Department on Monday lifted 104 swab samples of students and teachers.

Later, the results of swab showed that 15 students were tested positive.

Earlier, on November 12, two more schools were closed down after at Amguri in Sivasagar district following the teacher and students were tested positive for the virus.

On the other hand, 26 students, including four teachers of Dikshu High School were tested COVID-19 positive, while one teacher of Namti Chariali High School in Amguri was infected with the virus.
