Hardcore Kamtapur Liberation Organization (KLO) Cadre Nabbed, Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Continuing the ethical operations being conducted against Kamtapur Liberation Organization (KLO), a successful joint operation was conducted on Sunday night in Salakati area in Kokrajhar district where the army and Kokrajhar Police arrested a hardcore insurgent of the 20th batch KLO.

Sources from the army said Manful Barman, apprehended by the joint team, was a 20 batch cadre of the KLO and was active since 2015. The individual was responsible for multiple extortion activities in West Bengal and Kokrajhar. He was trained in Myanmar KLO camp. Sources said based on specific input, the search operation was launched by Army and police near Bandercherra village. A country-made pistol and live ammunition were recovered along with his personal belongings.
