KOKRAJHAR: The World Society of Mathematical Sciences, in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, Kokrajhar Government College, celebrated Hardy and Ramanujan's First Correspondence Period of Days (January 16, 1913 – February 8, 1913) on February 8, 2021 at Kokrajhar Government College to acknowledge the effort taken by Hardy to place an ordinary clerk, Srinivasa Ramanujan, serving in a bank, into the limelight in the sky of Mathematics.

In the programme, Dr. S. Basak, Vice-Principal-cum-Head of the Department of Mathematics of the college, delivered a talk on GH Hardy's contribution in bringing Srinivasa Ramanujan to the limelight, followed by a talk on Mathematical Model in Fractal Antenna design by Leeladhar Chouhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, from the college. Altogether 33 participants attended the programme. Among the participants attending the programme, Pison Brahma, Krishna Mani Nath, Sangeeta Basumatary of 5th semester and Subhankar Mazumder of 3rd semester undergraduate classes deliberated on Ramanujan's achievement in his different stages of life contrasting the achievement attained by them at similar stages.
