Head of newborn baby found at Sasanpara in upper Assam Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A passer-by found a head of a newborn baby at Sasanpara in upper Assam Dibrugarh on Monday morning. According to police, a passerby who was passing through the locality at around 6 am spotted the head of the newborn baby. "He then alerted the residents of the area, who checked the CCTV cameras that had been installed and discovered that a street dog had brought the newborn's head from somewhere," a police official said.

"I saw people moving around the area and gathering around the spot. I came down from my flat to inquire about the incident and came to know that a head of a new born baby was lying on the road. I immediately, informed the police about the incident. The baby maybe around 1 week old or maybe a month," said a local resident. Meanwhile, police have started investigation into the matter.
