DOOMDOOMA: The founder Headmaster of Rupai High School, Prakash Dutta, handed over charge to the senior-most teacher of the school, Pradip Bora on attaining his superannuation on Thursday. For that a meeting was organised on the following day where the members of the School Management & Development (SMD) Committee including president Dr Bulu Tanti, vice-president Abhijit Khataniar, Prabin Mazumder and Sailen Kumar Sarma, former Headmaster and former teacher, Doomdooma Bangiya Vidyalaya respectively were present. Prakash Dutta who assumed the charge of Headmaster of the school in 1984 took utmost care for the academic excellence of the school. It is because of his untiring effort that the school was provincialised in 2013.

The meeting which was anchored by Assistant teacher Anup Kumar Bordoloi, was addressed by Dr Bulu Tanti, Abhijit Khataniar, Pabitra Cheleng and Manoj Dutta. Warm felicitations were accorded to outgoing Headmaster Prakash Dutta by Assam Branch of Archid Society of Himalayas, Hindustan Unilever Personal Products Factory, Raidang T. E., Barhapjan and a section of former students of the school. In his speech, Dutta expressed his gratitude to the students and teachers for extending all co-operation to him and expressed hope that the school will be able to scale new heights in the coming days.
