Health awareness meeting held at Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A health awareness meeting, organized by NSS cell of DDR College, Chabua in association with Assam Cancer Care Foundation, was held at Deodhai Gaon Chabua on Wednesday.

Resource persons Dr Elina Adak, Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Tribani Handique and programme coordinator of NSS cell, DDR College, Chabua in their respective deliberations spoke in detail about cervical, mouth and breast cancer in order to create awareness among the people about cancer.

As a part of their efforts to create awareness, they distributed pamphlets and publicity materials among the people. The resource persons dwelt at length about the symptoms and preliminary signs of cervical mouth cancer among the women present at the meeting.

Students, faculties, parents, volunteers of NSS attended the health camp organized on the occasion by the NSS cell, besides a large number of local people.
