Health Minister Keshab Mahanta opens OPD of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital

State Health Minister, Keshab Mahanta formally opened 11 Outpatient Departments of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital

DHUBRI: State Health Minister, Keshab Mahanta formally opened 11 Outpatient Departments (OPD) of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday. Altogether 120 specialist doctors have joined the medical college, who will run the 11 OPDs in the college.

After inaugurating the OPD, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that the government was keen to start classes from September this year. All the equipment required have already been purchased and remaining works will be completed soon. "From now on, no touts can illegally operate in and around the complex of the college and if caught, they will be dealt with strongly," Mahanta warned.

He also directed the college administration to keep the college premises neat and clean, and in this matter no excuses would be heard. He also held a meeting with officials of the college administration wherein Dhubri Deputy Commissioner, Anbamuthan MP was present along with other district officials.
