Health talk organized at Tinsukia Bar Association

TINSUKIA: The Lions Club of Tinsukia City of Joy, in association with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals (IPH), New Delhi, organized a health talk at Tinsukia Bar Association on Tuesday.

While Dr. Vibhu Bahl, consultant orthopedic, spoke on ‘How to care for your knees’, Dr. Gaurav Sagar, consultant nephrologist, deliberated on ‘Simplifying diabetes’. Dr. Bahl outlined the factors responsible for knee pain, particularly osteoarthritis, and the risk factors involved and also stressed lifestyle modification.

In his talk, Dr. Sagar elaborated on the relationship between diabetes and kidney. More than 50 advocates attended the program. Ranjit Borthakur and Biswajit Prasad, president, and secretary Tinsukia Bar Association respectively, were present, besides Dr. Kirti Ranjan Dey, former Governor Lions Club of Tinsukia, and other leading citizens of the town.
