GOLAGHAT: On the eve of World Heart Day which will be observed globally on September 29, a heart disease awareness cum free heart check-up camp was organized in Golaghat by Hayat Super Speciality Hospital, Guwahati. The camp is jointly supported by the Lion's Club of Golaghat and Marwari Yuva Manch Golaghat Branch.

On Monday, the awareness cum free heart check-up camp was organized at Lion's Multiple Service Centre, Gunabhiram Bhawan in Golaghat. A team of cardiologists from Hayat Super Speciality Hospital Guwahati led by Chief Interventional Cardiologist Chinmoy Mazumdar along with cardiologists Amrit Raut and Seikh Afjullah Rahman conducted heart check-ups of around 150 patients from different parts of Golaghat. Earlier a felicitation ceremony was held where the three cardiologists from Hayat Hospital, Guwahati and the president of Marwari Yuva Manch Golaghat Anup Agarwalla were felicitated by the Lion's Club of Golaghat. The ceremony was anchored by the newly elected president of Lion's Club of Golaghat Bhaskar Kakaty.
