DEMOW: The Hem Chandra Deva Goswami College situated in Nitaipukhuri has observed its 58th Establishment Day of the college on Saturday. As per the schedule, the programme started with a cleanliness drive and plantation of saplings. Phanidhar Saikia, In charge Principal of Hem Chandra Deva Goswami College Nitaipukhuri hoisted the flag. The ceremonial lamp in front of the sculpture of Xattradhikar Hem Chandra Deva Goswami was lit by Bipin Dutta, president of the governing body.

An open session was organized where Dr.Surajit Giri, an Anesthesia Specialist as well as Snake Bite Specialist Doctor of Demow Model Hospital and Atmaram Kumar, Assistant Professor in Moran College were present in the programme as specific orators. They gave their valuable speech. Dr.Polin Hazarika, Assistant Professor of English Department in HCDG College and Ranjit Khanikar Assistant Professor in Economics Department in HCDG College both anchored in the programme. In the programme Dr.Gitali Saikia, HOD of English Department in HCDG College Nitaipukhuri, Professors, students of HCDG College Nitaipukhuri along with other dignitaries were present.
