Heroin seized; 2 arrested in Doomdooma

TINSUKIA: Based on a lead provided by a drug trafficker, Saheda Alam who was apprehended with drug container at Baghjan Road under Doomdooma PS on Wednesday morning, a police team led by officer-in-charge Doomdooma police station, Dibyajyoti Dutta raided the residence of Kiman Jyoti Hazarika at Rupaban, a dismissed home guard, and recovered 38.48 grams of heroin, 4 pistols, 2 swords and cash Rs 30,700.

The police have arrested both Alam and Hazarika. The police have also seized a Bolero, a Maruti Alto and a Bullet motorbike from the residence of Hazarika.
