High level Inquiry demanded into the death of Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah

DOOMDOOMA: In a memorandum addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, Kalita Janagosthi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (KJYCP), Tinsukia District Committee demanded high-level enquiry into the demise of Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah (Babu), aged 26 years, son of Apurba Baruah, Bezbaruah Sarani, Doomdooma, whose body was recovered by police on September 8 with sign of injury on his body at Silikhaghat of Dibru River after he went missing since September 7.

In the memo signed by Prasenjit Kakati and Suraj Kumar Talukdar, president and secretary respectively of KJYCP Tinsukia District Committee, besides high-level inquiry into the incident, they demanded Rs 20 lakh as compensation to the next of the kin an steps to stop such crimes. The memorandum was submitted through the Circle Officer, Doomdooma Revenue Circle.
