Guwahati: Himani Gurung has earned the honour of being the only candidate selected from Assam, Northeast India to participate in the trial workshop on Aditya-L1, India’s first solar mission launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

The workshop is scheduled to take place from August 20 to 22 at a university in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Himani’s selection is a proud moment for the region, highlighting the growing participation and recognition of young talent from the Northeast in the field of space science and research.

The Aditya-L1 mission is India’s pioneering step toward studying the Sun, and the workshop aims to engage and inspire promising students and researchers across the country.
