Guwahati: Assam's finance, health, and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday reached the site of the under-construction Rs 67 cr road overbridge on the Jorhat-Titabar Road (Na-Ali). After inspecting the construction, Sarma appealed to the Public Works Department (PWD) officials to expedite the construction and finish the work in a timely manner.

"The very ambitious 3-Lane ROB project worth Rs 67 cr on Jorhat-Titabar Road (Na-Ali) is another step towards strengthening infrastructure in Jorhat & adjoining dist. Visited the site & inspected the ongoing work. Advised PWD officials to ensure its timely completion," Sarma wrote in a tweet.

It needs mention here that Assam's Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone of the flyover at Na-Ali in Jorhat town under North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NEIDS) at Jorhat on September 30, 2019. The flyover, to be constructed with a financial outlay of Rs. 112 crore, is expected to boost connectivity in the Upper Assam region.
