Himanta Biswa Sharma Speaks About the First Budget of Amrit Kaal
The state will include the victims of child marriages under its Arunodoi Scheme if the husband is arrested.
GUWAHATI: Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke of the Union Budget and called it the first Budget of the Amrit Kaal of the country. He mentioned the various sections of the budget during this his speech from the State BJP headquarters in Guwahati. President of Assam BJP, Bhabesh Kalita also accompanied the CM in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM mentioned that this budget has identified several sectors and how to achieve the best out of them in different parts of the country in a bid to achieve complete and equitable development across the country. And towards that goal, 500 Aspirational Blocks have been identified, wherein all the government projects will be implemented to the limit.
He also mentioned that this budget takes into account the needs of the farmers, women, youth, scheduled castes and tribes, differently abled as well as the economically backward citizens of the country and their upliftment. It also holds the opportunity to retrieve as well as maintain the identity of all the people from the backward classes who have lost their identity and faced financial injustice in the past years by earmarking a special fund of Rs 15000 Cr.
Himanta Biswa Sarma also mentioned the steps taken towards the development of the Agriculture sector and the digital infrastructure of the country in the coming year. He mentioned the steps towards reaching a high position in terms of Artificial intelligence and its implementation for the upliftment of all the other sectors of development.
While speaking about child marriages in the state, he mentioned that strict steps will be implemented from Friday onwards to completely irradicate this social evil and mentioned that the state already has a list of 4004 such violations in their records. He mentioned that while the husband will be facing time behind bars, the wife will be included under the Arunudoi Scheme of the Assam Government.
